Romantik i nekorektní malíř, snílek i skeptik obdařený vírou je generačně nejblíže umělecké skupině Tvrdohlavých, ovšem v časech, kdy většina z nich studovala na Akademii, patřil k pražskému undergroundu. Na Akademii nastoupil až v roce 1990. Charakterizuje jej nekompromisní povaha a schopnost napojit se na hlubinné proudy. Skutečnost není tak docela, jak se na povrchu jeví. Roman Trabura dlouhodobě odhaluje svět pod hladinou (vědomí), plný neznámých obsahů. Zde je prameniště jeho chiliastických vizí. Voda je jeho živel. Romantic and incorrect painter, dreamer, and skeptic endowed with faith belongs to the generation closest to Tvrdohlavý, however, at the time when most of them studied at the Academy, he belonged to the Prague underground. He joined the Academy only in 1990. He is characterized by his uncompromising nature and his ability to connect to deep currents. The reality is not quite as it appears on the surface. Roman Trabura has long revealed a world below the surface (consciousness) full of unknown contents. Here is the source of his chiliastic visions. Water is his element. The exhibition Underground Waters at Kampus Hybernská represents permanent seepage and outflows of groundwater into Trabura's work from the beginning to the present.
