Join creators who approach AI critically and responsibly. Kampus Hybernská has partnered with the AI and Literature online course, led by a multidisciplinary team of experts.
The course was developed based on a survey of Czech writers, which revealed what the literary community truly needs: not the use of AI for creative writing, but practical skills, ethical guidance, and a personal methodology for using AI to facilitate literary work.
Four-week online course (4 lessons × 90 minutes) combines lectures, practical exercises, and critical discussion. In addition to working with tools, participants will create a personal handbook for the responsible use of AI, tailored to their individual needs. It is being developed in collaboration with the Edinburgh Futures Institute.
The workshops are prepared by the Center for Innovations in Technology, Art and Humanities (TAH) team, led by the course's expert guarantor, Karel Piorecký (Institute of Czech Literature, Czech Academy of Sciences). The lessons are taught by an interdisciplinary group of internationally recognized experts in literature, LLMs, AI, and copyright law.
Registration is open until December 31, 2025 and the course fee is 4,490 CZK.

The course will equip you with practical skills for effective communication with AI tools, including prompting principles that allow you to get exactly what you need from AI. You will gain an overview of available technologies and their limitations, and learn how to use AI in various stages of the creative process to the extent you choose—from research and brainstorming to text revision or testing.
Thanks to up-to-date insights into how large language models work, you will understand what AI is truly capable of and where its boundaries lie. You will learn about the history and current state of creation with synthetic actors and explore the transformation of authorship in the digital age.
The course will also provide you with an ethical and legal framework for working with AI. You will learn about the current state of legislation regarding AI and authorship, learn how to protect your own work, and understand how to work with AI transparently and responsibly.
