How to read and translate poetry in times of ecological crisis? What is the energy value of a well-constructed verse? What do words and sticks have in common? And how significant an event in the history of the universe can a poem be?
The need to find a common language between nature and humans will be addressed in a panel discussion by Brazilian literary theorist Adalberto Müller, English and Spanish scholar Mariana Machová, poet and comparative literature scholar Josef Hrdlička, editor of magazine A2 Michal Špína and Portuguese scholar and translater Šárka Grauová.
The discussion is a preview of the upcoming issue of Plav magazine dedicated to eco-poetry, which will be published in June 2026.
The entire event will be held in English.
