From the solo beginnings of bassist and singer Johannes Rest, Digital Carbs has evolved into a hidden gem of the Munich alt-rock scene. With Oh Hedonism, Digital Carbs presented their most versatile work to date in autumn 2025. The album combines surreal imagery, social criticism, and hypnotic song structures into a pull that oscillates between intimacy and loss of control. Live, the carefully crafted songs come into their own – energetic and intense, with a directness that gets under your skin. Oh Hedonism is raw, intense, and above all: unmistakably Digital Carbs.
With their new single “Cocoon”, the four musicians are opening a new chapter, taking their sound in a more fairytale-like direction. In autumn 2026, the band will embark on another tour, with dates across Germany, the Czech Republic, and Denmark.
A diverse group of friends from Prague whose musical style—and more—straddles the line between indie rock, alternative, and slightly dreamy pop. We play just about anything that has a good vibe and makes us feel good. Our singer sometimes has to put up with the rest of her “boy band” during rehearsals when we start jamming, but otherwise we love each other and that’s exactly how we play our songs!🎶 We can’t wait to see you!!
