From the solo beginnings of bassist and singer Johannes Rest, Digital Carbs has evolved into a hidden gem of the Munich alt-rock scene. With Oh Hedonism, Digital Carbs presented their most versatile work to date in autumn 2025. The album combines surreal imagery, social criticism, and hypnotic song structures into a pull that oscillates between intimacy and loss of control. Live, the carefully crafted songs come into their own – energetic and intense, with a directness that gets under your skin. Oh Hedonism is raw, intense, and above all: unmistakably Digital Carbs.
With their new single “Cocoon”, the four musicians are opening a new chapter, taking their sound in a more fairytale-like direction. In autumn 2026, the band will embark on another tour, with dates across Germany, the Czech Republic, and Denmark.
