Concert of Australia's rock band Split System with support from the Prague based post-punk trio Bibione.
Australia’s biggest export is currently iron ore, a close second is the equally evil but environmentally friendlier, guitar-based rock music.
After a massive few years, Naarm/Melbourne punks Split System have emerged as a major force in rock & roll diplomacy. The band have spent the last few years releasing albums and 7”, along with touring their high energy live show extensively across Australia, Europe and the US.
In their relatively short existence Split System have accumulated a loyal following at home and abroad by combining muscular punk with catchy hooks, along with delivering energetic and sweaty live shows performed at breakneck speed.
Split System had a busy 2025, following up their 2024 sophomore album Vol. 2 (Goner Records, Legless, Drunken Sailor) with three new seven inches On the Edge/On the Loose, Chemicals, and No Cops In Heaven/Pull The Trigger – released across Static Shock, Legless and Drunken Sailor Records. The band embarked on a second tour of Europe, playing sold out shows across Spain, France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, including a spot at Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands. The band also supported The Hives on their Australian tour.
Split System’s music has been featured on international and local radio stations such as KCRW, KEXP, WMFU, BBC Radio 6, Double J, RRR, PBS and FBI Radio.
The band’s 2024 album Vol. 2 cracked the top 100 of the NACC (North American College & Community Radio Chart), along with #1 spot on the ARIA Vinyl Sales chart and #4 on the ARIA Australian Albums chart. The band have also received coverage across sites such as Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, Pitchfork, Monster Children and Post Trash.

Bibione is a Prague-based post-punk trio that redefines the concept of a girl "boyband" with uncompromising DIY energy and a sharp sense of irony.
The band combines raw guitar lines, minimalist bass, and hard-hitting drums into an energetic mix of surf-punk, noise-rock, and 90s grunge. Their music relies on a straightforward sound, catchy riffs, and a natural stage chemistry that turns every live show into an intense experience. Bibione is a loud, authentic voice of the contemporary Czech alternative scene.
