Do you have a broken cup or bowl at home?Come and repair them together. We will talk about the tradition and ideas behind the kintsugi technique and we will repair one or two pieces in approximately two hours of porcelain or ceramics together. What is kintsugi and why kintsugi with an asterisk?
It is a centuries-old technique used to repair ceramics of high value (whether nominal or emotional). Traditionally, it is done with gold dust and urushi lacquer, but it is time-consuming (the lacquer takes at least a week to harden). For these reasons, we have chosen a technique inspired by kintsugi: it is performed using epoxy glue and gold dust, which dries within an hour, and the dishes can be used after about two days. The event is free of charge, with a voluntary contribution for materials.Capacity is ten people.
